APLEGATE, Harry L

Waynetown - Harry L. Applegate, a retired farmer and laborer died at 7:24 p.m. Tuesday at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville.  In failing health for five years, he had been seriously ill only 24 hours. Born in Waynetown on May 17, 1895, he was the son of Henry E. and Amanda Glaze Applegate. On May 9, 1915, he married Ruth Biddle. He was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church and Friendly Circle Class of the church's Sunday school, a past master of the Waynetown Masonic Lodge and past worthy patron of the Waynetown OES.  Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ping of Crawfordsville and two grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday afternoon at Grenard & Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 o'clock this evening. - kbz
